Reasons your hamster keeps trying to escape
Many animals, despite the fact that they adore people, will attempt to flee if given the chance. They have no concept how good they have it in a temperature-controlled, secure, comfy atmosphere with infinite access to nice food, so it’s not a very well-thought-out plan. Even if you don’t think your hamster could get very far on his own, you should never leave him unattended. These little guys naturally slink away because they are burrowers.
The best thing to do is to try to keep your pet as happy and healthy as you can because you may never fully understand why he wants to run. To give their pets more space to roam, many owners choose multi-level housing or add tubes. After all, he might look for food if he becomes hungry. You’ll want to make sure he’s well-protected at all times because some of these Houdini-like tricks may occur at night because hamsters are nocturnal. And if he persists in doing so despite your efforts, don’t take it personally; it’s just his restless spirit.
